The curatorial idea

Things tell stories.
And context makes them matter.

Each object is encountered beside the ideas, people and culture that shaped it. Visitors do not just see what you made; they meet the thinking behind it.

Why Blok M

Blok M is the real hype.

South Jakarta’s food, music, retail and creative scenes already cross paths here. LIT: is placing the fair inside that energy—not asking an audience to manufacture it from scratch.

Connected

MRT and TransJakarta access make Blok M an easy meeting point from across the city.

Already social

Little Tokyo, independent cafés, late-night food and creative spaces give visitors reasons to stay before and after the fair.

Culture with momentum

Jakarta’s official tourism guide identifies Blok M as the city’s second Creative Garden City; recent travel and design coverage keeps calling out its new openings and crowd energy.

Why Indonesia · why now

A young audience with serious scale.

Indonesia is Southeast Asia’s largest population and its largest economy. More importantly for independent culture, its next generation does not separate discovery, identity, community and commerce.

What fits the fair

Work with a point of view and a story people can enter.

We are interested in independent objects and editions that reward a closer look. New labels are welcome. So are established names still willing to show the thinking, not just the logo.
